We discover in God’s Word, the Bible (which contains historical facts, helpful advice and is the most powerful book in the world) that God made us to have someone to talk to and share with.  He loves us.  However, we have an enemy, Satan, who rebelled against God, and was thrown out of heaven.  Satan has encouraged mankind to rebel too – to do their own thing, to live like ‘me first’.  This has brought about a world of selfishness, hatred, discontent and war.  To put this situation right, God sent His own Son, Jesus Christ, to live on this earth and to show us what God is like. Those who believed, loved and followed Him found Him to be an amazing Saviour who satisfied all their needs.  Those who continued to rebel against Him, put Jesus to death on a cross – but God raised Him to life again after three days, and He is alive for evermore!  When He returned to heaven He sent His Holy Spirit into this world so that we can have His presence and power in our lives.  He changes us and makes us joyful, fulfilled people who can live life with a capital ‘L’.
